About Adios
Adios is FFV’s newest venture: a consumer app that makes it frictionless to declutter, while maximizing the resale or donation value of household items. Think “on‑demand Goodwill meets AI pricing, logistics, and resale marketplaces.” The MVP will:
- Let users photograph items and gives them a sense if they should donate, or resale using real-world data like:
- Price when new
- Raw materials value
- Average price same, or similar, items fetched on resale sites in the last X period of time
- Estimated tax deduction if donated
- If user wants to sell app quickly spins up an AI-generated listing, specific to the site they request (eBay, Facebook Marketplace, etc)
- Ideally integration to post directly to marketplace once user gives authorization to App
Your mission is to help take this product from napkin sketch to live beta by the fall.
What You’ll Do
Core Area | Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes |
MVP Architecture & Build | • Select / stand‑up the optimal stack (no‑code, low‑code, or code) for a mobile‑friendly web app or PWA. • Integrate AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Google Vision) for image classification & pricing logic. • Stand‑up user auth, secure item upload, and basic dashboard. |
Feature Delivery | • Ship prioritized features in two‑week sprints (pickup scheduler, inventory management, status updates). • Connect to third‑party APIs (Stripe for payments, ShipEngine or Route4Me for logistics, eBay/Facebook Marketplace for listings). |
Rapid Iteration & Testing | • Implement analytics + error logging. • Run quick usability tests, gather data, and iterate weekly with the founder. |
Documentation & Handoff | • Maintain clean Git/GitHub repos or no‑code documentation. • Create step‑by‑step onboarding docs so future engineers can pick up instantly. |

- API & Integration Chops — confident wiring together payment, logistics, and AI/ML endpoints.
- Product Sense — can translate a fuzzy idea into a lean, testable feature set.
- Version Control & QA — Git (or equivalent), basic unit testing, staging vs. prod discipline.
- Comfortable with Notion, Slack, and G‑Suite for daily async collaboration.
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Exposure to computer‑vision or pricing‑recommendation models
